The World On Over

The World On Over

Written by Scott Wainwright

Wherever this river may flow

I will go

Let it take me

Wherever this path may wind

I will go

Let it take me

Because people are all the same

The world on over

People are all insane

Wake me up when its all over

Wherever the wind may blow

I will go

Let it take me

Whatever seeds may be sown

I will grow

Let it take me

Because people are all the same

The world on over

People are all insane

Wake me up when its all over

My head may appear to be in the sand

I seem so unaware

But people don't understand

That I cast away, all my cares

Because people are all the same

The world on over

People are all insane

Wake me up when its all over

Sally Of The Wilds

Sally Of The Wilds

Written by Scott Wainwright

Down the valley

Bout the babbling brook

Send my love to Sally

Say I wish her luck

Smile and wink in her direction

And give her a sweet embrace

I've been thinking I've learn't my lesson

I'm in my place

Sally, Sally of the wilds

The wind it blows her auburn hair

Sally, no more than a child

Humble, for me she did care

I pull my collar

To ward of the wind

No star to follow

No where to begin

Tell her thanks a lot

And give her all my ''I love you's''

I'm sailing to France finding worth

In something new

Sally, Sally of the wilds

The wind it blows her auburn hair

Sally, no more than a child

Humble, for me she did care

Upon the cold docks

They're calling my name

But I'm at a loss my love

Of whom I could blame

Tell her my regrets

For she knows well all of my faults

When I write next, I hope it shows

That I loved her once

Sally, Sally of the wilds

The wind it blows her auburn hair

Sally, no more than a child

Humble, for me she did care

But it's over, its over

Because I am not there

I was never there

Redemption Blues

Redemption Blues

Written by Scott Wainwright

Call the doctor, tell him I'm sick

Call the preacher, tell hem to be quick

Because I don't know how long I have left

Call for my sister, tell her to come

Call for my brother, tell him to bury those guns

Because I don't know how long I have left

Can someone please take my hand

Through all this trouble and strife

Because Lord knows

I've had a real hard life

Call for whiskey, call for gin

If my neighbour calls, then let them in

Because I don't know how long I have left

Give me caviar, give me steak

Give me black coffee, bring me chocolate cake

Because I don't know how long I have left

Can someone please take my hand

Through all this trouble and strife

Because Lord knows

I've had a real hard life

Hide the silver, hide the gold

Those repo men are even after my soul

Because I don't know how long I have left

Tell the constable when he comes

Don't tell the preacher I was on the run

Because I don't know how long I have left

Can someone please take my hand

Through all this trouble and strife

Because Lord knows

I've had a real hard life

Train Song

Train Song

Written by Scott Wainwright

The train is a rolling

Is your sweet soul aboard?

The train is a rolling

Is your sweet soul aboard?

The train is a rolling

Is your sweet soul aboard?

Call on the Lord,

He can help you aboard

His train

The train is a rolling

Is your sweet soul aboard?

The train is a rolling

Is your sweet soul aboard?

The train is a rolling

Is your sweet soul aboard?

Call on the Lord,

He can help you aboard

His train

I am calling, I'm calling

I'm calling, calling

Calling on the Lord

I am calling, I'm calling

I'm calling, calling

Calling on the Lord

John

John

Written by Scott Wainwright

It's funny how things work out sometimes

It's funny how things come to pass

Sometimes you get away with it all

Other times it bites you in the ass

I never meant to hurt anyone

Or to lead them astray

Sometimes you must face your fears

And sometimes you just cannot stay

Sometimes you will wonder why

Other times you will play it cool

Sometimes you won't even try

Then its better just to play the fool

I never meant to be unkind

Or pretend not to care

Sometimes its the luck of the draw

And other times it just isn't fair

There's a little child

Inside every grown man

And most of the time

He's doing the best that he can

But this little child

Hope's one day to be grown

And one day

To make it on home

But until then we wonder where the time has gone

But I guess you already know that John

Oh how I've tried to figure you out

Looking for the right words to use

But I am still filled with doubt

And I am even more confused

I never meant to disappoint you

Or cause you to lose your way

You just did the best that you could

And never had the words to say

Looking Over Me

Looking Over Me

Written by Scott Wainwright

The sweet sounds of release

Echo through these chains

While the air around me

Braced itself for change

For I have heard the whispers Lord

Thundering through these floors

Flashing by the windows

Crashing through the door

And I see Jesus standing there in the light

And I'll rest easy knowing

He's looking over me tonight

And beauty is a tangled weave

Making its triumphant entry

I lay there at its feet

And watch it pass over me

For I have seen the pictures Lord

That blindly confound the wise

Drowning us in colours

Unknown to earthly eyes

And I see Jesus standing there in the light

And I'll rest easy knowing

He's looking over me tonight

Salvation has come to me

With the sign on the cross

Words from a distant country

Giving home to the lost

I've never felt so free

I've never been so disciplined

I'm back on my feet again

I'm free from my sin

And I see Jesus standing there in the light

And I'll rest easy knowing

He's looking over me tonight

Let His Train Carry You Home

Let His Train Carry You Home

Written by Scott Wainwright

There's a train arriving

There's a train arriving

I can see it now

On the horizon

(chorus)

Its rolling, it's rolling

Its holy rolling

Who know's how much further

We have to go

Its rolling, it's rolling

Its holy rolling

It can carry your troubled

Your troubled soul home

There's a train at the station

There's a train at the station

Do you know

Your souls destination?

(chorus)

Its rolling, it's rolling

Its holy rolling

Who know's how much further

We have to go

Its rolling, it's rolling

Its holy rolling

It can carry your troubled

Your troubled soul home

(bridge)

The soul of a man

Has no where to roam

The spirit of a man

Has no earthly abode

But if you roll into Jesus

His train will carry you home

Its rolling, it's rolling

(chorus)

Its holy rolling

Who know's how much further

We have to go

Its rolling, it's rolling

Its holy rolling

It can carry your troubled

Your troubled soul home
