The sweet sounds of release
Echo through these chains
While the air around me
Braced itself for change
For I have heard the whispers Lord
Thundering through these floors
Flashing by the windows
Crashing through the door
And I see Jesus standing there in the light
And I'll rest easy knowing
He's looking over me tonight
And beauty is a tangled weave
Making its triumphant entry
I lay there at its feet
And watch it pass over me
For I have seen the pictures Lord
That blindly confound the wise
Drowning us in colours
Unknown to earthly eyes
And I see Jesus standing there in the light
And I'll rest easy knowing
He's looking over me tonight
Salvation has come to me
With the sign on the cross
Words from a distant country
Giving home to the lost
I've never felt so free
I've never been so disciplined
I'm back on my feet again
I'm free from my sin
